ACTING

The screen and theatre acting courses start with the working methods of the legendary acting teachers such as: Konstantin Stanislavskij, Michael Chechov, Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler, Sanford Meisner, Uta Hagen, David Mamet and arrive at today’s great masters such as Ivana Chubbuck, Susanne Batson, Dominque De Fazio, etc.

After all these methods and techniques of the great masters, the most important thing is that the DomasArt School and Master Raman Turhan will guide the students on a journey that goes beyond techniques and methods, toward a deeper path: where the actor finally discovers themselves as free, alive, and authentic.

Below there is a list of methods and work techniques that will be addressed, and their most known aspects briefly described:

Stanislavskij:
Naturalistic acting, realism.
Greater understanding of life processes.

Lee Strasberg:
Research and study of emotional memory.

Stella Adler:
Imagination beyond the emotional appeal, “drawing on the emotions that I have experienced.”

Meisner:
“Live truthfully under certain imaginary circumstances”.
And his famous exercise in repetition of one facing another.

Michael Chekhov:
A psycho-physical approach to acting, focusing on mind, body, and an awareness of the senses.

Practical Aesthetics:
Analysis of the scene in four phases; the actors are required to focus on what is literally happening in the scene and what is needed from the other characters.

Uta Hagen:
Realism and truth above all else; “Replacement” (or “transfer”) encourages the actors to substitute their own experiences and emotional memories for the specific circumstances of a scene.

Ivana Chubbuck:
Twelve steps to follow so as to get into character and make it alive. Understand what the goal that the character wants and needs to obtain is, and the need to reach that goal that guides the actions of the character.

Susan Batson:
Show the actors how to prepare and which keys to use to create the life of a character, fully human, of extraordinary expressive greatness and in the name of the watchword “truth”.

Dominique De Fazio:
Teaching and giving the actor the necessary tools to become a “creative actor” while maintaining “authenticity” as a reference so that the artist can create original characters and scenes, thus breaking away from the usual patterns and methods.’

ART OF COMMUNICATION

Speaking is an art, communicating is a creative act.

In the Art of Communication section, you will explore the language that goes beyond words — the voice, the body, the intention — to make every message alive, present, and capable of truly “touching” those who listen.

In this journey, we will guide you through the following courses:

  1. Public Speaking
You will overcome the fear of the stage and learn to connect with your audience: structure, rhythm, breathing, and emotion will become your tools to capture attention.
  2. Communication Techniques
You will discover how to use words, listening, and gestures in harmony: expressing yourself with clarity, authenticity, and strength, generating empathy and impact.
  3. Improvising in Public
The unknown becomes an opportunity: you will practice reacting with presence, ease, and creativity in unexpected situations.
  4. Voice & Diction
The voice is an invisible bridge between you and your listener: breathing, articulation, tone, and musicality are the elements you will strengthen to give life to your words.

Here, it is not only about speaking well, but about being communication itself — a journey that leads you to express your truth with emotional intelligence, courage, and presence.
